2025 - A Year of Faith, Community, and Growth
Welcoming Our New Shepherd!
This has been a significant year of transition for our Parish. We are deeply blessed to welcome Fr. Jacobo as our new Pastor. We look forward to his guidance as he shepherds our flock for years to come. At the same time, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Jovito for his more than seven years of dedicated service and spiritual leadership.
Stewardship of Our Home
To ensure our Parish remains a beautiful place of worship, we continued to invest in essential maintenance. This year’s projects focused on:
• Painting of exterior wood shutters.
• Critical gutter repairs to protect our structures.
• Remediation of dry rot in the Rectory garages.
Youth & Spiritual Formation
Our youth community, The Believers, and Faith Formation programs remained active and inspired:
• OnFire Retreat: The Believers traveled to Six Flags in Vallejo for a time of reflection, prayer, and community building.
• Lenten Youth Retreat: The Believers led a retreat to share their faith and help their peers grow closer to Christ.
• RCIA Camping Trip: In July, our RCIA class journeyed to Mt. Diablo State Park for a weekend of camping and hiking, culminating in a walk to the summit; a powerful example for them of their spiritual journey and the support that Christ provides.
Community Celebrations
• Parish Picnic: As a Parish we gathered at Tahoe Park this summer for a day of food, fun, and games, strengthening the bonds of our parish family.
• Parish Festival: Thanks to the tireless dedication of our volunteers, this year’s festival was a record-breaking success! The funds raised will directly support our mission and operations in the coming year.

Looking Forward
With Gratitude for the blessings of 2025 we welcome this new year, may the Lord guide us and strengthen us to live the Gospel each day and be a local and visible presence of God for all our brothers and sisters.
Happy Liturgical New Year! Yesterday we celebrated the First Sunday of Advent and the beginning of a new year in our church.
Advent truly is a wonderful and meaningful time of reflection, preparation, and hope. It's a special opportunity to renew our spiritual focus, much like a new calendar year, but with the profound anticipation of Christ's coming, both in the celebration of his birth at Christmas and his final return. God sent his only son as ransom for our sins and to open heaven and offer eternal life for all.
